Resume=Traumatised and still struggling to come to terms with an appalling family tragedy, the American graduate student, Dani, turns to her self-centred and distant boyfriend, Christian, against the backdrop of an inescapable break-up. In high hopes of repairing their disintegrating relationship, Dani tags along with two of Christian's fellow students and their cryptic Swedish friend, Pelle, to attend a once-every-ninety-years summer solstice festival at an isolated pagan commune in rural Sweden. Now, for the first time in a long while, Dani feels happy; however--in this friendly and verdant haven of peace, harmony, and constant sunshine--the welcoming community's peculiar traditions start to blemish the folkloric utopia, allowing the uncomfortable feeling of uneasiness to creep up on Dani and her friends. I left the cult I was part of and no one in the group knows why, I just disappeared. I want to come and speak about it but Im afraid of the retaliation I might get. You guys have no idea how generations are born into cults, not giving the next offspring to choose if they want to be in or not. Currently the leader of the cult is in jail, and has been lying to members saying that hes in jail to test the faith of the members and if people dont believe him while hes in jail then they werent meant to be saved. It even got to the toxic point that the members themselves have said that the world is being punished because hes in jail. The outcome you may ask? COVID. Theyre literally saying that god is punishing the world with covid because there leader is in jail. Beware of who you talk to when they talk about religion. You may never know what youll get into.

The movie 100% revolves around the death of her family. Her struggle, her anxiety and finally the peace and “love” she finds. Normally agree but I gotta say youre so off with this review. IMO of course. 2) In Dani's dream, she opened her mouth and blew out black smoke, referencing her sister who died from inhaling car exhaust fumes. 3. I loved every moment of this movie. The colors, the uneasy feelings, the horror, and Florence Pugh did an incredible job. Cant wait to see what Aster does next. Midsommar kermode. I'm surprised you were not able to find much on the runes, as they're common runes and their meanings are pretty easy to find.
